Description of institution
Delta School District is located 30 minutes from Vancouver with 7 high schools and 24 elementary schools.
Delta offers short term, full year, and graduation programs for elementary and high school students, as well as summer camps for students aged 10 to 17 years old.
In Delta, we have our own homestay and cusotdianship program (we don't use outside companies) and host families pick students up for free at the airport.
Surrounded by water and touching the USA border, Delta has beautiful beaches and natural environments. The residents are global-minded and well-educated and Delta is a safe and friendly community. Delta ranks among the top districts in BC (consistently in the Top 5 for Graduation Rates and International Students typically have 95%+ university acceptance rates) and has national award winning teachers. We have exciting monthly sightseeing activity programs.
We offer fine arts academies in acting, film production and film special effects and an elite ice hockey program. Schools offer over 150 specialized classes such as dance, robotics, volleyball, and culinary arts, plus many student clubs and sports teams.
International students are fully integrated into classes with Canadian students with small numbers and a dedicated teacher coordinator at each school. Delta has I.B. and AP programs for honours students.
